I have several brands of colored pencils...Prismacolor Premier & Verithin, Crayola, Marco Raffine, a few Tombow, a couple brands of metallic & a mish mash of pencils gathered through the years. I was surprised when I couldn't find a true red, you know like Crayola Crayon Red. One day, when I was coloring a rainbow, I picked up my Tombow Cherry Red and was excited to find it was a truer red than any of my other ones.Don't ya know, I no sooner found my favorite red pencil than I lost it when it fell on the floor & my playful puppy chewed it up. I eventually decided to buy another & found it on Amazon. I put it in my cart until the price came down to a reasonable amount. (The price fluctuates quite a bit) Currently, the single pencil cost is a few cents less than purchasing Tombow's 5 pack of primary colors.Tombow Irojiten Colored Pencils, Primary, 5-PackTombow Irojiten Pencils are smooth, lay down rich color, hold their point nicely & have a soft lead which is not quite as soft as Prismacolor Premier.
